I’m trying to set a target score for GMAT as part of my ISB YLP preparation.

ISB’s YLP (Young Leaders Programme, the older deferred MBA pathway) was discontinued in 2024. The current program for early-career candidates is ISB PGP YL, a 20-month full-time residential MBA-equivalent for applicants with up to 24 months of work experience, including final-year students. PGP YL accepts GMAT, GRE, or CAT, and the admitted cohort has an average GMAT of around 720 with a GRE average near 328. Historical YLP admits had GMATs in the 500–700+ range (with 500+ considered the lower competitive threshold), but PGP YL has a more demanding benchmark because it replaces the flagship PGP’s work-experience waiver rather than deferring it. For a competitive PGP YL application, target GMAT 700+ on Classic or 645+ on Focus Edition. Test score is one input among several; academics across 10th, 12th, and undergraduate performance, essays, and interview carry meaningful weight.
