The class at IIM Ahmedabad PGPX has an average GMAT of approximately 697 on the Classic scale (roughly 640 on the GMAT Focus Edition), based on RTI-disclosed data for recent batches. Most admits fall in the 680–720 range, with the overall score distribution spanning approximately 660–740. The published shortlisting cut-off is around 720 on Classic (665 on Focus), though candidates with strong profiles sometimes get through at slightly lower scores. IIMA’s official advisory is to target at least the 70th–75th percentile on both quant and verbal sections. GMAT is one input in a holistic evaluation: average work experience of the class is 7.5 years, and academics, essays, and interview performance also carry meaningful weight in the composite score.
