I’m weighing my MBA options and want to know if IIM’s PGPX really delivers the kind of value, exposure, and career growth I’m looking for.

IIM Ahmedabad’s PGPX (one-year executive MBA) is worth doing for mid-career professionals with 4–10+ years of experience targeting senior transitions or industry pivots. The 2025 placement report showed an average package of ₹37.25 LPA, median ₹34.41 LPA, and highest domestic offer ₹76.50 LPA, among the best outcomes for executive MBAs globally. Program cost is around ₹35–37 lakh, implying a tuition payback of about 1–1.5 years. The program ranked #31 in FT Global MBA 2025. Average class profile: 7.5 years of experience, GMAT 697 (Classic), 26% women, batch size around 158. Worth it most for consulting, strategy, product management, and industry transition goals. Less suited for candidates already in senior leadership roles (where PGPMAX-style programs may fit better) or those unwilling to take a one-year career break. IIM Bangalore EPGP and IIM Calcutta MBAEx are comparable alternatives with slightly different cohort profiles.
