IIM Ahmedabad PGPX has an approximate acceptance rate of 10–15%, based on RTI-disclosed data. Recent batches admitted around 158 students from an applicant pool in the range of 1,200–1,500 per cycle. Selection involves three stages:

(1) profile shortlisting based on GMAT/GRE, academic record, work experience, and essays;

(2) personal interview with IIMA faculty;

(3) final admission offer based on composite score. Admitted class averages: GMAT Classic around 697, work experience 7.5 years (7.82 for men, slightly lower for women), and gender composition 74% male / 26% female in recent batches. Round 1 applications have a meaningfully higher success rate than Round 3 because scholarship budgets and seat availability are most open early.
