What is a safe score for ISB?
I want to know what GMAT/GRE score gives me a strong chance of getting into ISB.
ISB does not publish a formal GMAT cut-off, and the concept of a “safe score” is often misleading, no GMAT score alone guarantees admission because ISB evaluates holistically across academics, work experience, essays, recommendations, and interview. That said, based on admitted class data: a GMAT of 720+ on Classic (approximately 655+ on GMAT Focus Edition) puts you in a comfortable zone, and 740+ (685-695 GMAT Focus)provides meaningful cushion for over-represented profiles such as male IT engineers. The class average hovers around 710 on Classic, with the middle 80% range spanning 680–750. Candidates from under-represented backgrounds (women, diverse industries, international experience) can be competitive at 680–700 (635-645 GMAT Focus) with strong profiles. Scoring at the upper end does not override a weak career narrative, the application’s internal coherence matters more than pure test performance. Test-centre-based GMAT scores only; online or at-home scores are not accepted. Full ISB PGP positioning strategy at https://www.goalisb.com/post/isb-pgp.
