IIM Ahmedabad accepts GMAT for PGPX (one-year executive MBA). The published advisory is to target at least the 70th–75th percentile on both quant and verbal sections. In practice, the GMAT Classic cut-off has hovered around 720 (approximately 665 on the GMAT Focus Edition) for shortlisting. The recent PGPX class had an average GMAT Classic of approximately 697, with most admits in the 680–720 band. RTI-disclosed data shows score ranges of admitted candidates roughly between 660 and 740 on Classic. GMAT is one input among several: average work experience of the admitted class is 7.5 years, and academic record, essays, and interview performance all carry meaningful weight in the final selection. A 720 GMAT with a weak career story will not beat a 680 with a strong progression narrative and clear goals. Test-centre-based scores only, online or at-home GMAT scores are not accepted.
