ISB does not publicly disclose precise acceptance rates, but available data suggests the flagship PGP admits approximately 10–15% of applicants. Aggregate applicant pools are estimated at 6,000–8,000 per cycle for a batch size of around 870 students across both Hyderabad and Mohali campuses. Round 1 typically has the lowest application volume and the highest hit rate for scholarships; Round 2 is the highest-volume round; Round 3 is the most competitive for remaining seats. ISB follows a rolling evaluation process, so applying earlier with a strong profile is structurally advantageous. Competition intensity depends more on your applicant sub-pool (male IT engineer versus diverse background) than on the aggregate acceptance rate. Selection weighs GMAT/GRE score, academic record, work experience quality, essays, recommendations, and interview performance. For Round 1 candidates from under-represented profiles, functional acceptance rates can be higher; for over-represented demographics, effective selectivity is tighter.
