All these tests CAT, BAT, GRE and GMAT are accepted for different programmes offered by ISB.

I am giving below the tests that different ISB porgrams accept

ISB PGP – GRE and GMAT

ISG PGP YL – GRE, GMAT, CAT

ISB PGP MFAB – BAT

ISB PGPpro – No test score required

ISB PGPMAX – No test score required

The Business Admission Test (BAT) is an entrance examination used for specific programs where GMAT and GRE are not required. BAT is the primary test for ISB’s PGP MFAB (Post Graduate Programme in Management for Family Business), among indian programs. A 15-month program for members of family-owned businesses, and for selected Advanced Management Programmes (AMPBA, AMPH, AMPI, AMPOS, AMPPP). The test assesses quantitative aptitude, verbal ability, and analytical reasoning in a format designed for working professionals who may not have prepared for standardised tests like GMAT. BAT is computer-based, conducted at test centres, and typically lasts around 150 minutes. BAT is also used by a lot of European programs like HHL, MUST, IPADE, PAD, Frankfurt School, ESMT etc. Selection for these programs weighs BAT performance alongside application essays, professional profile review, and a personal interview. Candidates applying to the flagship PGP or PGP YL do not take BAT — those programs require GMAT, GRE, or (for PGP YL only) CAT.
