I want to know if pursuing PGP at ISB, especially via YLP, gives a strong return on investment.

Whether a PGP is worth it depends entirely on which institute’s PGP and what career stage you’re at. At top institutes, IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, Kozhikode, ISB, XLRI, MDI, SPJIMR, PGP is functionally an MBA with strong ROI. IIMA PGP 2025 averaged ₹35.22 LPA, IIMB PGP ₹34.88 LPA, IIMC PGP ₹34.23 LPA, and ISB PGP ₹34.21 LPA, against total costs of ₹26–50 lakh, tuition payback sits at 1–2 years. At tier-2 private B-schools (SIBM, NMIMS, IMT Ghaziabad), PGP averages ₹15–22 LPA with comparable fees, still positive ROI but narrower margin. At unranked B-schools without AICTE/AIU recognition, PGP value drops sharply and is often not worth the cost. The key check: verify AICTE approval, AIU equivalence, placement reports (audited, not self-reported), and recruiter lists before committing.
